Why did you choose this person? What about their story speaks to you?Jennifer Yee is special to me because even I love making pastries, and I also hope to become a pastry chef too. If you don’t know what a pastry chef is, a pastry chef prepares baked goods such as cake, cookies, and also pairs beverages with foods. Now you might think that a pastry chef is like a baker, but the difference is little yet it makes a big impact: a pastry chef works with more complex presentations and deals with more sweet baked goods, while a baker simply bakes things such as cakes, bread, and cookies but presents them in more simple ways.
How does this person inspire you?Jennifer Yee inspires me because she shows me how she became such a successful pastry chef and how she has won so many awards and done so many more things that made her even better.
What surprised you as you were learning about this person?I found it very interesting how she was able to meet such high-level chefs like Gordon Ramsay and Angela Hartnett when she was progressing to become an amazing pastry chef. I was also surprised by how she had won so many culinary awards.
