Why did you choose this person? What about their story speaks to you?	I chose this person because when I visited Suzhou in 2019, I saw the Suzhou Museum which was designed by I. M. Pei. He created it for his hometown and the masterpiece became not only the pride of Suzhou people, but the pride of Chinese people all over the world.
How does this person inspire you?	He designed buildings all his life and never gave up even when things seemed hard.
What surprised you as you were learning about this person?	I didn’t know he designed so many famous buildings in every place in the world. And I didn’t know that his greatest characteristic was blending together eastern and western cultures in his designs.
