I.M. Pei was a Chinese American architect best known for designing the Louvre pyramid. Born on April 26, 1917, Pei drew inspiration at an early age from the garden villa in Suzhou. Some of his other works include the World Trade Center, J.F. Kennedy Library and the Suzhou Museum.

Hiram Leong Fong, the first Asian-American to receive votes from his party to become President

Hiram Leong Fong was born Yau Leong Fong on October 15th, 1906, to an immigrant who worked on a sugarcane plantation. At age four, he picked beans for cattle feed but later became the first Asian-American to receive votes from his party to become President. He died August 18th, 2004.

My parents are professional fencing coaches

My parents are professional fencing coaches. They immigrated to Boston, USA 14 years ago, where they train students in the sport of fencing. They started with only 6 students, and now their Star Fencing Academy has nearly 200 students. Some of their students have achieved top 8 in the USA, as well as national champion and world champions. I am deeply proud and moved by my parents.

Michelle Yoeh was born on August 6, 1962 in Ipoh, Malaysia. At age 15, she moved with her parents to the United Kingdom. There, she was enrolled in The Hammond School, Chester, where she started to train as a ballet dancer. Her first on camera work was a 1984 commercial with martial arts star Jackie Chan. In 1985, she began making action movies with D&B Films of Hong Kong. Her most famous movies are Crazy Rich Asians and Everything Everywhere all at Once. In total Michelle Yoeh has won 7 awards. Including The medal of freedom and an Oscar for the movie Everything Everywhere all at Once.

Lau Sing Kee, WWWI Chinese American hero

Lau Sing Kee (刘成基 1896-1967) The first World War One Chinese American hero , who served in 77th Division of US Army, was awarded by the Distinguished Service Cross and the French Croix de Guerre. The famous singer Stevie Wonder has immortalize him in his song “Black Man”. The lyrics are: Who was the soldier of Company G who won high honors for his courage and heroism in World War One Sing Kee , a yellow man.

Karen Chen is the daughter of immigrant engineers who moved to California in 1995 and have worked hard to give their children skating careers.

He produced most installments in the series, beginning in 1954 original Godzilla and ending in 1995 Godzilla vs Destoroyah. He was one of the most prolific Japanese producers of all time, having worked on more than 200 films and brought numerous figures of Kaiju and monsters to life in wide screen.

Samuel C. C. Ting is a Chinese American physicist who once lived in Lexington. He is most known for his discovery of the J particle, in which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1976. In addition to this, he also received the Ernest Orlando Lawrence Award in 1976, Eringen Medal in 1977, DeGaspari Award in Science from the Government of Italy in 1988, Gold Medal for Science from Brescia, Italy in 1988, and the NASA Public Service Medal in 2001.

Wong Liu Tsong (1905-1961), stage name Anna May Wong, is considered the first Chinese American actress in Hollywood, her most famous role in Shanghai Express, and has made history playing the first American television show starring an Asian-American lead. James Hong, an Asian-American actor and second-generation immigrant, has had a prolific career with over 600 film and television credit and his performances have made him a beloved figure in the film industry. Both have left a lasting legacies in Hollywood, paving the way for Asian representation in film and television.
