WHAT: Please join us for a 2 hour active bystander training. Active Bystander Training helps participants recognize when they are bystanders to harmful situations, and analyze and evaluate the consequences for everyone involved. The training will help bystanders understand how they can safely interrupt harmful situations and encourage more positive actions by others. Active bystander training helps individuals feel a sense of agency in every day life, and see opportunities for taking responsible action to help people in need instead of remaining passive and complicit. Through the training individuals will gain competencies they need to help decide when and how to act when they witness something they feel is unfair, wrong, or troubling.
